Discover Milton

Parks, trails, libraries, public facilities, the farmers’ market and the year’s big seasonal events — gathered October 2026 from the Town of Milton, Conservation Halton, Milton Public Library and each event’s own site. Hours and seasonal dates change, so check the official page before you visit.

Kelso Conservation Area / Glen Eden

Niagara Escarpment, just north of Hwy 401 — main entrance 5234 Kelso Rd; Kelso Summit access at 5301 Steeles Ave W

Swimming beach on Kelso Lake, a 35-hectare reservoir — the only Conservation Halton park where swimming is allowed. Boat rentals (canoes, kayaks, paddleboards, pedal boats), shoreline fishing, 29+ km of hiking and mountain-biking trails including a 1.5 km boardwalk along the lake, the Kelso Cove floating waterpark (26+ features, lifeguard-supervised, seasonal), a challenge course with aerial ropes, climbing tower and archery, disc golf, picnic sites and group tent camping (7 sites, spring–fall). In winter it operates as Glen Eden ski and snowboard hill — 16 slopes, terrain park, lessons and rentals, typically mid-December to mid-March.

Rattlesnake Point Conservation Area

Niagara Escarpment, north Milton — 7200 Appleby Line

Escarpment lookouts including Buffalo Crag, Pinnacle and Nassagaweya Canyon, the Nassagaweya Canyon Trail connecting to Crawford Lake, the Vista Adventure Trail, rock climbing on the escarpment cliffs, thousand-year-old cedar trees and turkey vultures over the canyon. Group tent camping (18 sites, spring–fall), picnic areas, cross-country skiing in winter and outdoor yoga classes in season.

Crawford Lake Conservation Area

Near Campbellville — 3115 Conservation Rd

A rare meromictic lake — its layers of water don’t intermix — ringed by an elevated boardwalk, plus a reconstructed 15th-century Iroquoian village with three longhouses (open 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. on weekends and holidays year-round, and on weekdays from May 1 to September 7, 2026). 19+ km of trails including the Nassagaweya Canyon Trail link to Rattlesnake Point, and cross-country skiing in winter. Swimming, boating and fishing are not permitted — the lake is an ecologically sensitive area.

Hilton Falls Conservation Area

Campbellville area, on the Niagara Escarpment — 4985 Campbellville Rd

A 10-metre waterfall over the escarpment, the ruins of a 19th-century mill beside the falls with a fire pit/bonfire area, and 33.5 km of colour-coded trails for hiking and mountain biking across 645 hectares of protected forest. Reservoir, fishing and picnic areas; cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in winter.

Mill Pond & Rotary Park

Downtown Milton — Rotary Park, 100 Garden Ln

Rotary Park Outdoor Pool — a lap pool plus a beach-entry pool with spray features (seasonal) — and a splash pad, open daily 9 a.m.–9 p.m. in season. The Mill Pond trails connect Rotary Park with Centennial Park and Livingston Park around the pond, and the waterfront Millpond Gazebo is a Town permit location for wedding photography.

Milton Community Park / Community Sports Park

805 Santa Maria Blvd, beside the Milton Sports Centre

Splash pad/spray pad confirmed on the Town of Milton’s splash-pad listing. The park also hosts the Milton Rib & Beer Festival each July — see Seasonal Events below.

Private farm attraction

Springridge Farm

Milton countryside at the foot of the escarpment — 7256 Bell School Line

A working private farm, not a public trail park. Its Fun Farmyard play area has a spider-web climber, tube slides, giant sandbox, straw play and pedal tractors, plus farm animals and Goat Mountain, tractor-drawn wagon rides and an escarpment lookout. There’s a 5-acre corn trail on weekends during Harvest Season, a barn market, farm bakery and gift shop (no admission charge to visit the market/bakery) and the Front Porch Servery for lunch. Seasonal produce: strawberries in spring, apples and pumpkins in fall, Christmas trees. Pets are not permitted in the Barn Market or Fun Farmyard.

Splash pads across town: the Town of Milton lists 17 splash pad locations — including Beaty, Bristol District, Bronte Meadows, Coates, Dempsey, Kinsmen, Laurier, Optimist, Rotary, Scott East, Sunny Mount and Walker parks — generally open daily 9 a.m.–9 p.m., typically May to September.
